As part of its effort to support SDG 7 focused on clean and affordable energy, IPI Garut has begun significant steps in reducing its reliance on fossil fuels. The campus now utilizes renewable energy sources by installing solar panels on various building rooftops and replacing lighting systems with energy-efficient LED lamps. Furthermore, IPI Garut educates students on the importance of environmentally friendly energy use through seminars and workshops. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on reducing the campus’s carbon footprint while raising student awareness about the importance of clean energy for the future of the planet. IPI Garut also plans to expand renewable energy usage to other campus facilities and integrate sustainable energy education into its curriculum.
